Kansas governor to form blue ribbon panel for high tech industries
Gov. John Carlin said he will name a special committee to craft a state strategy to attract high technology industries to Kansas. He denied timing of the report and panel release aimed at his re election and pledged more funding for the Department of Economic Development to boost its capacity to lure tech firms. He cited labor, taxes, housing, education and transportation as Kansas advantages and urged aggressive efforts.
