Kangaroo helps farmer after branch strike hero of field

In Melbourne a partially blind eastern gray kangaroo named Lulu guarded Len Richards after a falling branch left him unconscious. The marsupial barked for help for about 15 minutes, drawing his daughter Celeste to the scene. Richards was injured during a storm cleanup near Morwell. Lulu, who has one eye, was adopted from a mother killed by a car. Celeste recalls Lulu guiding the family to safety. The marsupial’s actions are described as heroic and life saving.
