Lambert joins Kansas Arts Commission as vice president

Topeka based Lambert, longtime arts advocate and former Ottawa resident, was named vice president of the Kansas Arts Commission by Gov. Graves. He will attend Wellsville Days for a book signing at Wellsville Globe office Saturday morning and has a Sept. 30 event in Ottawa at the Arts Gallery with a lecture and reception.

Very cold tonight with a light rain chance

Ottawa area sales tax collections rose to about 10 971 for the period, with 1 615 in the month and a 4 73 percent rate. The area saw about 80 dollars less than the prior year. Osawatomie posted a sharp revenue increase of over 31 percent as tax rates remain at .5 percent per city and 1 5 percent for Franklin County.
