Mr. and Mrs. George Gravenstein of 912 Birch celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a surprise party at the Shiloh Club in Lawrence attended by 36 guests including the couple’s son Martin Gravenstein and his wife, plus John Stiebhen and Dr. Larry Mages. Earlier, Miss Carol Sherwood wed George Gravenstein September 22, 1956 in Kansas City Kansas. They have two children, Tina and Chris, and a granddaughter.

Mary Ellen Ackerman joined Girl Scout adults at Camp Kivawood for two days of camping, songs, dances, games, and outdoor cooking during the Santa Fe Trail Council event. Mr and Mrs Glen B Head of Wellsville will be honored at a 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday reception in Hays Hall at Wellsville United Methodist Church. Hosts include their children Harold Sander Seneca Dale Stevenson Lawrence Jerry Patton Scranton and Kenneth Head Paola. They were wed September 24 1921 in Alma. They lived in Paxico Wamego before settling in Wellsville 39 years ago. Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren bless the family. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
