Ottawa Planning Commission sees resignation amid rezoning split
The Ottawa City Commission accepted Leroy Brown's resignation from the Planning Commission with no reason given and plans to name a replacement soon. A 4-1 vote approved a zoning change on Seventh and Main to allow a General Savings building, after a rare non unanimous split with Mrs. Reusch and Park opposing earlier. Petitions to rezone other properties were sent to the planning commission for study at the November meeting. Overlays for Main Street and street paving assessments were approved, funded in part by state aid.
