Hollywood back sparks Kansas State run game

Kansas State junior Thomas Clayton has emerged as the team's top weapon after just two games. The 6-foot, 210-pound back from Alexandria, VA, averages 164.5 rushing yards per game and 7.7 yards per carry with four touchdowns. He broke open a close game with an 80-yard run against Florida International and scored twice in the win over Marshall, showing big play ability that coach Bill Snyder praised. Clayton transferred from Florida State after a disappointing fit and sat out a year before seizing the lead role following Darren Sproles’ departure, with teammates noting his vocal leadership and physical running style.
