David Beeman and Rick Robinson named Ottawa High Players of the Week after the Cyclones 8-6 season opening win over Harmon. Beeman, quarterback, ran the Veer T offense and scored on a 20 yard run while Robinson, 257 pound noseguard, recovered a fumble and made several tackles. In Las Vegas the 1973 WIBC championship tied largest prize fund and attendance records with 9,044 teams competing over 107 days and a $706,431 purse.
