Signals Undergo Repairs at Second and Main
Ottawa city crews will install a new solid state traffic controller at the Second and Main intersection to restore normal operation. Since late last week east west signals flashed red and north south signals yellow due to a failed mechanical controller. A Wichita firm Eagle Signal will assist with installation and a spare controller will be procured for readiness.

Wall Street slips as Dow, NYSE edge lower in calm trade
In sluggish morning trading, the Dow Jones average fell 1.9 to 1333.78 while the NYSE composite dipped 0.01 to 109.04. Volume was light at 33.51 million shares, with declines leading advances 6-5. Richardson-Wicks jumped 6% after rejecting a $54 a share takeover bid from Unilever. Cessna, NWA, and IBM also moved higher as oil stocks faded on reports the USSR raised its main export crude price by 40 to 50 cents per barrel.
