Salazar's Outfield Gamble Wins Royals In 10th
In Kansas City, Darryl Motley’s shoestring left field catch preserves a 6-5 Royals win over the Chicago White Sox in 10 innings. Salazar, starting in center, tripled and scored to tie, but a muffed pop by Sheridan set up the decisive rally. Wathan homered, Concepcion and Hulett contributed key hits, and Mike Jones earned the win in relief as Kansas City completed the three-game sweep.
