Coo Coo Marlin Remembered as NASCAR Pioneer and Farm Hero
CHARLOTTE N C AP longtime NASCAR figure Coo Coo Marlin died at 73 leaving a legacy as one of the sport’s original good ol boys. He raced from 1966 to 1980 without a win but four Tennessee titles and a hard working farm life defined him. His son Sterling, a two time Daytona 500 winner, recalls a tough, self sufficient father who balanced farming and racing and helped shape a garage legend.
