Cattle futurity to be tried again this year
The Franklin and Anderson County Extension offices will jointly sponsor a steer futurity to provide producers non biased data on economic performance and carcass traits. It aims to collect data on feed efficiency and merchandising while encouraging ownership retention and open participation. Last year 14 producers signed up 91 head, with cattle placed in a feed lot on December 3. For information call Franklin County 229-3520 or Anderson County Extension 785-448-6826.
