Pensacola Spotlight On Zoeller and Tour Scramble
In Pensacola the final PGA Tour event of the year centers on Fuzzy Zoeller's bid for the leading money winner spot and a fierce chase for the last top 125 exemption. Diehl sits at 126 with $33,914 as Jim Booros is 125 at $34,420, while many players contend within $5,000 of each other for the last secure positions. The outcome also shapes the race for the Vardon Trophy and Zoeller's chance to overtake Hal Sutton, with Floyd’s 70.61 stroke average and Peete’s 70.76 mark noted as key benchmarks in the Perdida Bay course tests.
