Internet firms push flexible Web filter system
The top three Internet companies will urge other firms to adopt a flexible system that lets parents restrict access to objectionable Web sites. Unlike preset blocking, the model lets operators flag content categories such as nudity or gambling, and parents use a free tool to approve or disapprove categories.
