Owens wins Fort Hays scholarship

College student jailed for cheating on entrance exam
A 19 year old from Potomac, Lawrence H. Adler, admitted paying $200 to a friend to take his college entrance exam. He received six months in jail and 18 months on two perjury charges, suspended except for six months, plus 100 hours of community service and three years probation. Adler delayed reporting to jail until after the fall term.
