Ottawa High School junior varsity volleyball team won two of three in Baldwin City to clinch the Frontier League title. The Cyclones defeated Central Heights and Baldwin after an opening loss to Prairie View, finishing 30-6 overall and 10-2 in the league. Coach Mike Kyriakos praised the players' growth and success.

The Ottawa Junior Cyclones, a sixth grade team, beat Mill Valley 6-0 in overtime at Steve Grogan Stadium. The win secures the Kaw Valley League championship and closes the regular season before hosting De Soto and a playoff opener versus Turner on Oct. 30. Ottawa University also plans Youth Day events on Oct. 30 and a practice for youths on Oct. 29 at 5 15 p.m.
