Ottawa man arrested after driving through levee gates
A 32 year old Ottawa man, Robert Gomez Vazquez, was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DUI after police found his vehicle on a levee in the 200 block of North Main. He allegedly drove through levee gates between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Sunday and was arrested about 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of North Main. He was cited for criminal damage to property, DUI and illegal vehicle on a levee, and released after six hours in jail. A prior domestic battery arrest occurred two nights earlier.
