Sculptor Betty Cunningham Wins Multiple Ceramics Prizes
Betty Cunningham of Williamsburg operates B. J. Cunningham Ceramics and teaches classes while running a busy shop. At a Kansas City Ceramics Association Show she won first place for Old Man, Best of Show, plus the Peggy Award for Professional Creative Effort in Hobby Ceramics for Old Man, with her work celebrated by Popular Ceramics Magazine. She and her family raise cattle near Williamsburg. her sons Alan and Brad and husband Gene are part of the farm, and Alan pursues music while Brad hunts. Betty maintains a large inventory of greenware and glazes, and conducts weekly evening classes at the shop.
