Franklin County 4-H leader Max Cartmill and family expanded their pigeon, rabbit, and poultry projects. The program now involves two enrolled pigeon members, 21 rabbit, and 19 poultry in countywide activities. Judges praised exhibit quality at the spring show. The Cartmills sponsor two trophies and host multiple project meetings annually.
The Willing Workers 4-H Club joins Franklin County with 12 members from five families, leaving the Rambling Ranchers 4-H Club of 63 members to form a smaller, more active group. Founders include Joe and Linda Blake, Linda Norton, Mark Norton, Darrell Macy, Debbie Macy, Kris Sylvester, Kay Sylvester, and Buck Watts.
