Distressed Braves Tumble Near End in Heart HAC Loss
Ottawa University plunged to 0-3 in the Heart of America Conference as William Jewell defeated the Braves 17-6 at Cook Field. Jewell rode a stout defense and ball control offense, limiting Ottawa to 204 rushing yards and 160 passing yards while forcing turnovers, then sealed victory on Linzy Teegarden’s 1 yard TD with 1:06 left. Millentree led Jewell with 110 rushing yards on 30 carries, and Thebeau connected on 9 of 29 passes with two interceptions for Ottawa amid key miscues and a late stalled drive.
