Soldiers still waiting for body armor in Iraq delays
Nearly a quarter of the 130,000 American troops in Iraq lack the latest Interceptor body armor with ceramic rifle plates. Funding, production, and shipping delays push delivery to December, eight months after the war began. Congress approved funds, critics warn of a slow supply chain leaving many troops inadequately protected.
