A long city and county election notice for Ottawa Kansas in October 1964 outlines voter registration hours from October 19 to 23 and re-registration requirements. It lists polling places, candidate groups, and a constitutional amendment to be voted on November 3 1964, with the secretary of state confirming the document as a true copy.
Mrs Richard Bethell of Pomona joins the Herald staff as classified advertising manager. She succeeds Hank Crockett who moves to display advertising. Crockett in turn replaces Nelson Showalter who transfers to the Hutchinson News display advertising department.
