Ident-A Kid pairs with McGruff the Crime Dog to help area children and parents assemble identification packets this weekend. The first annual Ident-A Kid, sponsored by Ottawa Citizens Watch and Ottawa Police Department, runs 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Intrust Bank at Third and Hickory. The program is free.
The Postal Service announced deadlines for mailing holiday cards, letters and gifts overseas. Airmail packages must be sent by December 9 for most countries, with International Express Mail available for last minute items. Military mail has surface rate deadline November 1 and air mail deadline December 2.
