Harvest yields stretch storage as grain moves to market

Harvest has produced top yielding soybeans and other grains, but space is tight. Elevators at Williamsburg and nearby terminals are full, forcing some grain to be moved to smaller elevators or dumped on the ground. Farmers may store on their own or sell cash grain immediately, with rail networks less of a constraint here. Local trucks move grain to markets in Kansas City, Emporia, and northwest Arkansas.
