Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs earned 16.7 million in a strong two weekend hold at No. 2, boosting its domestic total to 82.4 million after three weekends. Hollywood revenues eased 4 percent to 113.4 million for the period.
Estimated weekend takings place led by Zombieland at 25 million. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs earned 16.7 million, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D grossed 12.5 million, followed by The Invention of Lying at 7.4 million and Surrogates at 7.3 million. Capitalism: A Love Story and Whip It tied at 4.85 million, Fame at 4.8 million, The Informant! at 3.8 million, and Love Happens at 2.8 million. Zombieland blends action and humor with Harrelson, Eisenberg, Breslin, and Stone as survivors on a road trip. A double-feature reissue of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D helped drive family audience interest ahead of Toy Story 3. The Invention of Lying opened softly with co-star Gervais and Garner.

Events include KID ZSMART at Carnegie Cultural Center, Toddler Time at Ottawa Library, Armchair Aerobics at Washburn Towers, piano olds by Arlene Butts at the Ottawa Senior Center, and a 7 p.m. Bingo at VFW Post 5901.
