Why Is My Steam Radiator Not Heating
A reader asks why a single standup radiator stays cold. The fix involves checking the bottom shutoff valve, then testing or cleaning the side valve. If heat returns when the side valve is used from another radiator, the radiator is waterbound. Tilt the unit to drain water back to the boiler, then restore steam. If the side valve is defective, replace it and consider adjustable valves.
