Butterflies on display at Corner Gallery Ottawa Library
Nationally known butterfly painter Bill Howe displays six acrylics in October at Corner Gallery. The works show 39 butterflies, larger than life size, plus a portrait of Silvana Sheldon in Cuba. Howe, 44, a lepidopterist, donated 10 000 specimens to the American Museum of Natural History and has works in Smithsonian and state capitols. His books include Our Butterflies and Moths (1963) and Butterflies of North America, now checked out at the library.
