Day on the Farm informs Ottawa youth on safety and agriculture
At Sylvester Ranch in Ottawa an event drew 22 third grade students from Eugene Field Elementary as educators and local leaders discussed farm safety livestock ATV and chemical safety. Leslie Rogers noted the session helped kids understand safe practices and the effort behind food production while Kansas State Collegiate Cattlewomen president Katelyn Brockus highlighted hands on learning and volunteer involvement. Elsie Riley Toone age 104 attended and found new knowledge and interest in farming history.
