Fresno mayor invites hurricane evacuees to relocate
Fresno mayor Alan Autry pressed ahead with relocating 400 hurricane evacuees to California's Central Valley despite concerns. County officials warned the city would bear support costs, while housing authorities warn of strained resources and rising needs as 62,600 evacuees had already settled in shelters across 20 states and D.C. Autry, known as Bubba Skinner, returned home this week.
