OU Theatre opens season with DiPietro comedy
Ottawa University launches its 2002 2003 season with Over the River and Through the Woods by Joe DiPietro. The story follows Nick Cristano torn between a Seattle job offer and family in New Jersey as his grandparents scheme to keep him home. Director Larry Peters notes a rushed six week rehearsal schedule this year as students juggle sports and other activities. The cast blends OU students and a local high schooler Grant Neal leads as Nick. Performances run 8 p.m. Oct 3 5 in the OU administration auditorium with tickets 7 for adults and 5 for children, proceeds funding new auditorium seats. Future shows include The Laramie Project amid plans for spring selections.
