Police shooting probed in Leavenworth Kansas

Local CROP Walk Nears Ottawa Goal In 1995 Effort
About 90 walkers gathered at Ottawa University under warm sun for the 1995 CROP Walk a fundraiser for hunger relief worldwide and to aid local Hope House food and clothing program. The Ottawa goal was $5,000 with about $4,800 pledged so far and many sheets still to come. Final suspect in shooting turns himself in Ottawa case
The last suspect in the Sept 24 shooting death of 14 year old Stephanie Perez at Pine Manor Apartments turned himself in at the Shawnee County sheriff's department. Earwood, 16, was jailed on probation charges in Topeka and faces possible transport for a Franklin County court appearance. Barwood remained sought for first degree murder and related counts.
