A Thursday RMH meeting reviewed two financial assist methods gifts and taxes for debt relief. Trustees executives and RMH supporters discussed a proposed sales tax vote and no fund warrants as future funding options.
Franklin County commissioners will announce two new trustees for Ransom Memorial Hospital at a Monday meeting. The state KDCH withholds a second $250,000 payment until appointment of two new trustees, a physician and a financial expert. Delmont Hadley was recruited as the local physician. several others declined.
The Quenemo Community Group hosts a penny supper at 5 30 p.m. Saturday at the community building with chicken fried steak or meatloaf. Trinity United Methodist Church lists a ham and bean dinner Thursday with two service sessions and tiered pricing. Emporia hosts 11th annual Prints Charming quilt show Saturday and Sunday plus downtown fall festival.
