Obituary for Edward B Ferguson and Victor Steward
Funeral services are set for Edward B Ferguson 74 of Princeton who died October 1 1990 at Crestview Nursing Home. A 10:30 a.m. Thursday Mass at Sacred Heart Church will be officiated by Rev Michael Mullen with burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Born October 15 1915 in Chapman he worked in construction for telephone utilities retiring in 1977 from Cluts and Co Construction and was a former mayor of Princeton. He is survived by his wife Isabelle Black and several stepchildren and siblings. Memorials may be given to Ransom Memorial Hospital dialysis unit. The family of Victor J Steward who died September 29 1990 will gather with friends 7 to 8 p.m. today at Dengel and Son Mortuary. A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Bible Church with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery Agricola.

The Daily Report notes Gina R Cavin was sentenced to a year in jail with probation for a June 11 battery on a public safety officer, plus costs and strict probation terms. Robert C Ames received five days for DUI with fines and treatment deadlines. Several others face 30 day jail terms suspended on restitution and costs. Public safety reports include a suspect arrested for transporting an open beer and vandalism at a Topeka Capital Journal machine.
