Stine shines as Central Methodist routs Ottawa 57 33 in HAC opener
Central Methodist quarterback Tom Stine threw 43 passes, completing 26 for 508 yards and six touchdowns, lifting the Eagles to a 57-33 victory over Ottawa University. Stine’s aerial assault, aided by Gene Williams, Eric Trelz and Steve Luetjen, overwhelmed OU after a 27-13 halftime deficit, with Ottawa’s Sherman and Hendrix also posting big receiving numbers in a lost cause.
