MIT warned of frat drinking problems before death

MIT president Charles Vest faced complaints four years earlier from two students who warned that drinking at fraternities could be fatal. They produced a 50 page booklet and sought a meeting, which Vest did not grant. MIT freshman Scott Krueger, 18, was found unconscious in a fraternity basement and died after a three day coma.

Crosby postpones tour for abdomen surgery with son

David Crosby, 57, postponed his planned October tour with his son after announcing he needs abdominal muscle surgery. Publicist Michael Jensen said the operation in mid October will require about three months for recovery. Crosby had just completed a Crosby, Stills and Nash run and was set to start a new project with Jeff Pevar and James Raymond, his biological son, whom he met during a liver transplant recovery.
