Pomona teams fall in tourney opener
OSAGE CITY The Pomona High basketball teams opened their seasons with losses to White City in the Osage City Invitational. The boys 55 to 45 and the girls 41 to 36. Andrew Nitcher led the boys with 15 points, while Jill Bigham and Emily Clayton each scored nine for Pomona in the girls game. White City pulled away late in the boys fourth quarter, aided by 22 Pomona turnovers. The teams meet Waverly today.
