Ottawa considers property tax break for Monoflo Ottawa Park tenant
Ottawa city commissioners will discuss a 65 percent tax abatement for Monoflo International at the Dec 5 meeting to support a 6 million investment and hiring plan. Monoflo, based in Winchester Virginia, acquired the 1550 N. Davis Ave facility, will hire 15 locals initially and grow to about 65 over five years as it renovates with equipment from Reno Nevada. The company will pay 93 thousand to Franklin County Development Council over ten years, yielding an estimated net abatement of 55 percent. No opposition was raised at a public hearing.
