Tentative Coast Dockworkers Contract Unveiled
West Coast dockworkers and the Pacific Maritime Association reached a six year tentative agreement addressing wage pension and health cost concerns plus technology driven efficiency measures. The pact awaits ratification by about 10 500 ILWU members with voting scheduled in December and January. The deal ends a 10 day coast wide lockout that prompted presidential intervention.
