Centropolis Baptist Church hosted a birthday gathering for Pastor Randall with about 70 attendees in black, marking his 50th birthday after services followed by his favorite foods and gifts including money and golf clubs.
Lane UNITED METHODIST and Spring Grove Friends Church describe sermons, after school kids clubs, charity offerings, and a Christmas lights display featuring "The Life of Christ." Activities include a Community Singspiration with hymns, shared finger foods, and fellowship, inviting the public.
The Crescent Club of Wellsville met on November 13 with 13 members present. Donna Romstedt shared Japanese doll making and her experiences in Japan. The group voted to donate $50 to Life Line of Ottawa. Next meeting set for December 18 at Betty Edwards Home with a cookie recipe exchange and a Hope House donation. Margaret Landreth, 79, of Wellsville died October 27, 2001. Funeral services were October 30 at Royal Terrace Nursing Home in Olathe. Grace Steen returns from eight days in the hospital. Additional social visits included Grace Steen's recovery and nearby attendees during November.
Sarah Peters attended a weekend United Methodist Women s Conference Officers Training at the Renaissance Hotel St Louis MO with officers from 49 states. She serves on the Nomination Committee of UMW Kansas East Conference. Dennis and Mikael Peters traveled to Pittsburg to watch Pittsburg State defeat Nebraska Omaha 20 7 sealing the MIAA title and a berth to face North Dakota. Paul Peters is a Gorilla backup kicker.

Activities include Black Hawk helicopter flights, veterans events, Girl Scout meetings, community service, and a 3 AM wake for a meteor shower observation.
