Holidays bring record Thanksgiving travel across the United States
The AAA projected 38.9 million Americans will travel at least 100 miles for Thanksgiving, a 4 percent rise. Auto traffic dominates with 31.6 million by car, while 7.3 million will fly, ride trains or take a bus amid higher fuel and airfares. Weather and labor disputes threaten delays. Amtrak plans its busiest day and Greyhound anticipates nearly 1 million bus riders through Monday.
