The Rev. John Arthur Clippinger, 84, of Baldwin City died Monday November 17 2003 at Village West Ottawa. He taught psychology at Otterbein College and Baker University where he was department chair and emeritus professor. Survived by wife Mary, two sons Arthur and John, a granddaughter and two brothers. burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Funeral 1 p.m. Friday at Lamb Roberts Funeral Home Baldwin City. Memorials to Alzheimer's Association.
Alice Marie Smith, 73, died Thursday, Nov 20, 2003, at Ottawa Retirement Village Manor. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Lamb Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.

Four civilians were killed and several injured in a blast at the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan offices in Kirkuk. Officials attributed the explosion to a bomb and warned of attacks on pro-American Iraqis. In Basra, Assyrian Democratic Movement council member Sargoun Nanou Murado was abducted and found murdered.
