The East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging partners with USD 290 to run a two day weekly Walking Bus from Hawthorne to Garfield at 7 a.m. and return at 3:20 p.m. The inaugural run had two riders, ages 7 and 8, with more expected as volunteers join. Funding comes from a Take Action grant.
