Teen skater jailed by new Allenford skating ban
In Allingford Connecticut a 16 year old boy Ross Newell was arrested after skating downtown on Sunday the day a new anti skating ban took effect He was fingerprinted photographed fined 100 dollars and must appear in court November 18 The town council later lowered the fine to 25 dollars and made the offense an infraction but does not apply to Newell

An ex-boyfriend abducts woman then hijacks taxi in chase
Police captured a gunman who abducted his former girlfriend, hijacked a cab, and led a 12 hour pursuit from Missouri into Illinois. The cab crashed near Collinsville where the man surrendered. The woman, her children, and the driver were unharmed. A neighbor located the suspect and 911 was called.
