The Ottawa Main Street Association invites residents to a 6:30 to 8 p.m. public meeting at the Carnegie Cultural Center to discuss a proposal for a commercial historic district. The plan aims to protect National Register of Historic Places buildings and guide treatment of surrounding properties.
Ottawa Main Street Association will hold a public meeting at the Carnegie Cultural Center to discuss creating a downtown historic district near National Register sites. The plan would extend state-approval areas and offer tax incentives, with art ideas from last summer’s meetings.
The Mast family plans a larger living Bethlehem pageant December 3 4 and 5 from 545 p m to 9 p m at the corner of Riley and Louisiana roads northwest of Ottawa. About 80 volunteers in period attire will guide visitors through replicas of 12 shops and a graveled trail recounting the Christmas story. Admission is free with donations to local charities.
