A schedule of Veterans Day observances includes a Voices of WW II program at Ottawa Library with UMKC librarians at 2 p.m. Refreshments. a 3 p.m. camp setup for re-enactors at Forest Park. a VFW Hamburger Nite at 5 p.m. with proceeds to Auxiliary Rehabilitation Family Services, plus a 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. breakfast, a 10:45 a.m. parade, a noon chili feed, and 12:30 p.m. Civil War demonstrations at Forest Park.

Ottawa University presents Two Rooms at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday with Sunday proceeds benefiting area veterans. Tickets are 10 for adults, 7 for students, at Larry Peters Memorial Auditorium. crafts show Saturday at Ottawa Middle School runs until 4 p.m. and funds the AAA program. The Veterans Day Parade starts 10 45 a.m. downtown with 140 plus entries. Forest Park hosts Civil War re enactors USO shows and WWII demonstrations. Saturday dinner in Princeton supports the Friends of Princeton Community Building with a chili supper 4 adults 2 children. Pie Eaters Conclave begins 7 p.m. advance tickets from the Historical Society. Sunday Lak Kansas Lottery prizes include Flint Hills Treasures with up to 10000 instantly and a chance at five 4 day tour packages.
