E. coli outbreak kills girl in Colorado
A 16 month old girl died after drinking unpasteurized Odwalla juice linked to an E. coli outbreak across the West. Anna Gimmestad, admitted Oct. 16, died after cardiac and respiratory arrest with severe kidney problems, likely infected by E. coli 0157:H7. Odwalla recalled 16 drinks, with five cases in Colorado and 44 in California, Washington, and Canada.

Buckner gets suspended jail for worthless check in Ottawa
District Court sentences Verlena H Buckner of 739 Cypress Ottawa to one day in county jail suspended. Buckner must pay 81.24 restitution and 102.50 in fees and costs.
