Messiah concert by multiple groups at Ottawa University
About 225 local area and Ottawa University singers will perform Handel's Messiah Sunday at 3 p.m. in the OU Chapel. Tickets cost 1 and are sold by area singers, Ottawa High School concert choir members, or Ottawa University symphonic choir. The community choir includes singers from Ottawa Melvern Pomona Lyndon Williamsburg and Rantoul. Performers include OU and OHS soloists and an Ottawa University orchestra. Proceeds fund future similar performances. OU choir directed by Stanley DeFries and OHS choir directed by Dale Fox.
