Technicians on round the clock shifts cleaned the external power units of Columbia after a scrub of the flight. If the units prove flightworthy a launch could occur as early as next Wednesday. if not, the next attempt would wait until the following week. Engineers say contamination may have caused a prior overpressure in two APUs and the team drained millions of gallons of fuel to access the bay for filter changes and lubrication checks.
