Morrisey nets sixth at state cross country in 4A girls race
Ottawa junior Lisa Morrisey finished sixth in the 4A girls state cross country championship at the Wamego course in 12 minutes 21 seconds. The Wamego meet marked her third straight top six state finish as she battled cold weather and wore extra gear for the first time. Ottawa coach Chris Kornhaus praised her consistent mindset and noted the improvement since September.
