Ottawa barn saved for history and education
The Bowers family donated an historic Ottawa barn to the local historical society after decades of use by a meat family and early settlers. Community members describe the barn as a rare agricultural landmark to be preserved with interior and exterior restoration. Plans include permanent exhibits on Franklin County agriculture, a meeting space, workshops, and demonstrations with potential future displays.
