Ottawa University memory keeper Jan Lee recalls the 1963 dedication of the Mowbray Student Union, its evolution, and campus life changes from dining halls to dance approval. As demolition to make way for a Gangwish Library unfolds, the 43 000 square foot complex will bring new technology and services.

Finch files for re election to Kansas House 59th District
Blaine Finch announced Friday he filed for re election to represent most of Franklin County and part of Osage County in the Kansas House of Representatives. The R Ottawa incumbent, first elected in 2012, cited his track record and work on child adoptions reforms juvenile justice changes and Hard 50 sentence updates while noting ongoing work remains. He chairs the House Republican freshman caucus and sits on Judiciary Correction Juvenile Justice and Utilities committees.
